In a galaxy far, far away (Portland, Oregon) a
Jedi Padawan was born. After many years (6) of training, he
finally reached his goal of celebrating his big day like a Jedi.
The following is his story.

They began by granting a Jedi with their most prized possession, a light saber.
They showed off their agility by participating in a pod (scooter) race.
They attacked the Death Star (soccer ball pinata painted black). A more experienced Jedi finished it off just before a big storm came in.
The younglings collected their prizes for such a magnificent defeat.
After demonstrating their creativity and ship construction skills (Lego building time) they feasted on cake.
Happy Birthday Tyler!!! And may the Force be with you!

Our New Friend
Mike found this little dog on Saturday night. She has a collar with no tags. She doesn't have a microchip. She is very sweet and friendly so we are sure someone must be looking for her, but we can't find them. It looks like she is quite happy just where she is!
Maybe, just maybe, she will become the newest member of the family.

Happy Groundhog's Day Dad!
Matt is in China for his birthday which left us in a bit of a pickle as to when to celebrate. So we took the opportunity to do it over two days: Feb 1 (Feb 2 in China) and Feb 2 (Feb 3 in China). Tyler made this sign, we took the picture, and emailed it to him yesterday (our Feb 2).

Collin and Soccer
No, he doesn't play for OSU (we just needed an orange shirt), and at this rate, he never will. He's not exactly as into it as we thought he might be.

Here he is going the wrong direction.
Here he is checking out his shoe while a teammate gives him a pep talk.
He said he wants to play baseball next. Maybe that's his sport.

A Sledding we will Go!
A new family tradition has started.
Noah and MomMom
Oh to be that small and to fully fit in a disk.
Oh to see the sledding experience through Collin's eyes...Did he see it is the question?
Tyler getting towed up the hill by Dad.
Grammy was even coaxed into sledding!
Wet mittens and a tow out with Dad.
Priceless

This is what happened at our house this weekend....
We went into the garage to find that is was raining. In the garage.

We ran upstairs to see where the water was coming from.

Collin plugged up the toilet and the flapper malfunctioned pouring gallons and gallons of water into the bathroom which flowed into Tyler and Collin's bedrooms.

The Legos and Clone Troopers were rescued from a death by drowning in toilet water.

Where ever we walked water would squish up through the carpet leaving wet soggy footprints.
Collin: "Look what I did!"
Maybe we'll get new carpet out of the deal!
