Happy 5th Birthday Cookie!!!

We started out the birthday celebration by having dinner at Nello's with Grammy, Grandpa, and the Hills. Then we came home for ice cream and a few presents.

Mike got Collin a few Angry Birds. He is sooooo excited!!!

On Saturday we had his pirate party. He and his friends played in the pool and then had a treasure hunt.

Arghhhhh!!!

Cowboy Mike

Matt couldn't make it to Tyler's early Father's Day celebration at school this year so Mike stepped in. Mike was a good sport and dressed for the occasion, a cowboy themed breakfast. Tyler is lucky to have an uncle who will do things like this for him!!

It's a Lego Star Wars Kinda Christmas

I'm not sure what Santa did to deserve this, but I'd do what they say, big guy!

Nothing says Christmas like toilet paper roll candles, paper angels, and Clone Troopers. And some other guy.

These gentlemen greet you as you walk in the door.

And I dare you to change the channel on the TV. It's college football bowl time and someone is VERY into it!!

Tree Decorating

My friend Suzanne comes up with some of the greatest ideas. Last weekend she suggested we all meet at the park to decorate a tree. We made bird friendly ornaments to spruce up a tree with. I strung popcorn. I don't think I will be doing that again anytime soon. It takes FOREVER! But we all decided the popcorn made the tree so I guess it was worth it!

Naturally, Collin has a bike helmet on. Decorating a tree can be a dangerous job!

Happy All Saint's Day!

Tyler had to do a saint project for school. He chose St. Matthew in honor of his dad. I transformed his Jedi robe from Halloween to St. Matthew for his presentation. He did very well!!

You'll have to turn the volume up on your computer all the way because I was the numbskull who had her finger over the mircophone on the camera.

Happy Halloween!

He wanted to be a pirate. And he wanted to be Curious George. So we got a pirate monkey! Argh! Ohh Ohh Ohh Ahh Ahh!

He is still obsessed with Star Wars, so naturally, he is a Jedi.

Annual Trip to Lakeview Farms Pumpkin Patch

A little karate choppin on the hay bales

This might be the first year that he didn't cry on the train.

Little Miss Maya

Look at me! I'm so cute!

Where did everybody go? I'm standing here!

Hey! I'm cute too! I used to be the baby.

What the?!? Are you trying to steal my spotlight?

Don't worry! I still love you!

First Day of School

This was actually his 3rd day of school. I lost the picture from the first day. On the first day he decided to top his outfit off with a plastic yellow construction hat. What a nut!!
Big Decisions

Do I become a firefighter, train engineer, or work at Home Depot?

Happy freakin 4th of July

For the 4th we headed up to the San Juan Islands to sail on Orizaba. We started out it Friday Harbor where we went to their 4th of July parade. It was pretty good for a small island. We then went to the Pig War BBQ held by the Lions club of Friday Harbor. That was something I could have lived without. And finally we watched fireworks from the dock. Collin did not fail us this year. He freaked out and screamed until he was safe underneath a blanket in bed. When the weekend was over and John and Angie had left, we sailed over to Roche Harbor. The following are a few pics from our week.

Brotherly Love

What you can't see is that they are actually spitting at each other.

Learning to find the wind

One of the many shrimp Tyler found. He joined shrimpin' club with some other kids on the dock.

Honestly, who thought up this kid?

8.5 knots

Me driving at 8.5 knots

Collin sleeping at 8.5 knots

We always have a great time when we go to the islands and hope to make this a summer tradition!
