Visit Us, If You Dare!
Molly and Ana came to stay with us for spring break. We had a repeat of Thanksgiving when the whole Davis family was here. It started out on our trip to Sedona. Molly got Collin out of his carseat and he thanked her by puking on her in the parking lot of the hotel. He seemed fine so we trekked on. We went to see the Grand Falls, 30 miles outside of Flagstaff. Mapquest said it was supposed to take an hour to get there from Flagstaff. We thought that must be wrong. We realized why the hour time frame when we found the last 8 miles were on a rough, dirt road. These falls are part of the Little Colorado River and it only flows in March and April. Some years it doesn't flow at all. This was pretty cool but out in the middle of nowhere! We went back into Flagstaff and had dinner at McDonalds. We then found a hotel because there were none available near the Grand Canyon. To kill time we decided to take the kids to the park. Molly decided to stay in the hotel because she had some indigestion from her McD meal. Ana stayed, too. So Matt and I took the boys to the park where Tyler puked all over the play structure. The other parents grabbed their kids and skittered away like roaches to light. Tyler wanted to know why everyone was sad. We went back to the hotel to find that Molly had puked. Both Molly and Tyler were sick all night long. Tack on to that that Collin had diarrhea. Matt and I felt sorry for the poor woman who was going to have to clean that room. The smell was horrendous! We still decided to go the Grand Canyon. We had made it this far and Molly really wanted Ana to see the it. The trip was fine but Molly and Tyler slept through most of it. We strategically placed Molly and Tyler by the doors in case the need for a quick exit arose! Fortunately, it didn't! Molly stayed sick for a few more days while Ana and I got it, promptly puked and felt much better. Sound familiar, Davis'? Despite all the sickness, we had a great time with Molly and Ana. Tyler and Collin loved having all of Ana's attention and can't wait to play with her when we get back to Oregon in May.
Here are some pictures from our trip. (no puking pictures. I didn't let Matt have camera!)

Ah, sun! How nice would that be! Sorry about the sickness though - that is a bummer. By the way, I think we both drive Honda Odyssey's Heidi (I can tell from your pictures).
