Cheese!
Isn't this where everyone puts their underwear when they are going to the bathroom?

Zoom Zoom

Collin's favorite thing to do now is take the horse trike outside and go up and down the sidewalk as fast as he can. My favorite part is the tongue!

Happy Easter, One Week Late!
Since everyone was sick last week, we decided to postpone celebrating Easter by a week. Matt and I didn't think it would be very nice to give the boys Easter baskets filled with chocolate bunnies, emmies (M&Ms), and jellybeans, only to take it back until their little stomachs could handle it! So we told the boys today was Easter, got them dressed up, went to Mass (perk: we missed the Easter crowd), and came home to find that the Easter bunny had come, brought the boys baskets, and hid eggs in our backyard. Tyler was so excited. He found the eggs as fast as he could. Collin would find an egg, eat the contents (jellybeans) and move on to find another one. Problem was that Tyler was too fast. He had found most of them so Collin just took from Tyler's basket. Smart kid!

sidenote for Barbara: The boys were great at Church! Tyler was even kneeling and standing when he was supposed to. And Collin only shouted "Hi Mama" a dozen times even though I was sitting right next to him. Progress!!
Visit Us, If You Dare!
Molly and Ana came to stay with us for spring break. We had a repeat of Thanksgiving when the whole Davis family was here. It started out on our trip to Sedona. Molly got Collin out of his carseat and he thanked her by puking on her in the parking lot of the hotel. He seemed fine so we trekked on. We went to see the Grand Falls, 30 miles outside of Flagstaff. Mapquest said it was supposed to take an hour to get there from Flagstaff. We thought that must be wrong. We realized why the hour time frame when we found the last 8 miles were on a rough, dirt road. These falls are part of the Little Colorado River and it only flows in March and April. Some years it doesn't flow at all. This was pretty cool but out in the middle of nowhere! We went back into Flagstaff and had dinner at McDonalds. We then found a hotel because there were none available near the Grand Canyon. To kill time we decided to take the kids to the park. Molly decided to stay in the hotel because she had some indigestion from her McD meal. Ana stayed, too. So Matt and I took the boys to the park where Tyler puked all over the play structure. The other parents grabbed their kids and skittered away like roaches to light. Tyler wanted to know why everyone was sad. We went back to the hotel to find that Molly had puked. Both Molly and Tyler were sick all night long. Tack on to that that Collin had diarrhea. Matt and I felt sorry for the poor woman who was going to have to clean that room. The smell was horrendous! We still decided to go the Grand Canyon. We had made it this far and Molly really wanted Ana to see the it. The trip was fine but Molly and Tyler slept through most of it. We strategically placed Molly and Tyler by the doors in case the need for a quick exit arose! Fortunately, it didn't! Molly stayed sick for a few more days while Ana and I got it, promptly puked and felt much better. Sound familiar, Davis'? Despite all the sickness, we had a great time with Molly and Ana. Tyler and Collin loved having all of Ana's attention and can't wait to play with her when we get back to Oregon in May.
Here are some pictures from our trip. (no puking pictures. I didn't let Matt have camera!)
Sedona just before sunset
Collin didn't think the last 8 miles on the dirt road were so bad!

Painting with Grandpa

We are rebuilding our deck. Tyler wanted to help Grandpa paint but wasn't wearing proper painting attire. Who knew that he DID have painting clothes on under his other clothes!

Transportation Day
Tyler's school held Transportation Day in their parking lot. There was a Nascar race car, firetruck, helicopter, city bus, police cars and motorcylces, boats, horses, garbage truck, etc.

The cuteness of Collin

This was one of the first nice days here in Phoenix. I know it's hard to believe but it's been a bit cold (for Phoenix standards) and rainy.

Happy Birthday Tyler!
This time when I asked Tyler what kind of cake he wanted he said he wanted a blue and purple cake. Whew! No Cars character requests! These are the remaining cupcakes from his Chunk N Cheese (AKA Chuck E. Cheese) birthday party. He had a great time with his friends!

Collin can never turn down a good cupcake! He will eat the whole thing, unlike Tyler who only licks the off the frosting.

Tyler got several nice presents from his friends and family. This was one of his favorites though. Collin got him RPM from Cars. Tyler was so happy that he had to have his picture taken with it.

You know when you try to retell a joke you've heard and it doesn't quite come out right? Well, here is Tyler's rendition of the classic knock knock joke involving bananas and oranges (orange you glad I didn't say banana?).

Good Hit Tyler!!

Sledding in Flagstaff

go, go, go!!!
Collin had a blue sucker and was disappointed when it was gone!
(I can't figure out how to move pictures around!)
Back to sledding...

Collin wasn't too happy about the attire! However, once he realized how fun sledding was, he quickly forgot how much he hated the bibs and boots!
